Follow the following procedure.

1. Dashboard->Appearance->Header in the Setting list.
2. Upload an image.
3. If you have error when cropping/resizing the uploaded image, do them before uploading the image. The size should be 940 pixel x 198 pixel.

Wordpressのデフォルトのテーマでヘッダ画像を変更するとき、cropしようとすると、エラーになることがあります。前もってcrop/resizeを行って、サイズが940 × 198ピクセルになるように調整しておくと、crop/resizeが行われず、エラーを回避できます。
